Georgia native and Athens resident, Leah Laturell, has been an artist as long as she can remember. Growing up in Dublin, GA, Leah studied art as a child with private lessons, and then followed her passion to college at Georgia Southern, earning a degree in Art Education. While she pours her love of art and knowledge of technique into her students during the day, she can also be found working in her home studio into the small hours of the night. Leah’s subject matter varies from whimsical landscapes, to colorful depictions of flora and fauna, to meticulous recreations of special moments, pets, and places by commission. While her heart belongs to her husband and 3 kids, pieces of it are certainly found in every painting she creates.
